April 26, 1923 - Titonka Topic - Friends of Mrs. Theo. Schroeder were shocked to hear of her death, which occurred last Sunday. Mrs. Schroeder's maiden name was Margaret Anna Wagner and she was born at St. Joseph, Iowa, March 20, 1867, and her death followed an operation for gall stones at Mercy hospital, Mason City, at 1:00 o'clock, Sunday, April 15, 1923, at the age of 56 years and 25 days.

She was united in marriage on May 25, 1896, to Theodore Schroeder at St. Joseph. Immediately after their marriage they located in Wesley and this has been their home ever since, with the exception of a few months when they lived in Whittemore.

To this union were born three children, Theodore, who died in infancy; Nicolas, of Wells, Minnesota; and Mrs. Katharine Frances, who with the father and three step children, Miss Margaret at home, Mrs. Marie Wright of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mrs. John Terhaar of Buckman, Minnesota, mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother.

Mrs. Schroeder lived such a life that all who knew her were her friends. She was ever ready to help those in need and had a sunny and cheerful disposition. She was a member of St. Joseph's church of this place and the funeral was held from there Wednesday morning. Interment at St. Joseph. The many friends extend sympathy to the family in their sad bereavement.
