Nov 24, 1920 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Nicholas Marso, who has been a resident of the St. Joe neighborhood for over forty years, died a week ago Saturday following an operation for kidney trouble. Mr. Marso died at Whittemore where he had resided for the past five years. He was born in Germany and was 74 years of age.

Mr. Marso leaves a widow and eight children as follows: Mrs. E.H. Richard of Des Moines, Mrs. J.C. Klepper of Earling, Iowa; Miss Theresa of St. Joe; John Marso of Irvington; J.0. and Charles of St. Joe; N.C. and Casper of Clare City, Minnesota. Mr. Marso was one of the sturdy, honest and highly respected men of the county and his family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
