John Lentsch 1892-1932

May 19, 1932 - Kossuth County Advance – John Lentsch passed away last Saturday morning at his farm home northeast of St. Joe. Funeral services were held Monday morning in the St. Joseph church, and were conducted by the Rev. Father Theobald.

Mr. Lentsch was born on a farm near Livermore, in 1892. In 1914 he was united in marriage with Mary Kramer at St. Joe, and to this union two children were born, Urban and Mildred. The first years of their married life they lived on a farm near Clare and then moving to the St. Joe neighborhood.

He is survived by his wife, two children, and his aged mother, Mrs. Urban Lentsch, and four sisters and four brothers namely: Mrs. Lizzie McDonald, and Mrs. Kate Beigger, both of Windom, South Dakota; Mrs. Eva Gisch of Algona; Mrs. Mary Kramar of St. Joe; Barney Lentsch of Clare; Mike, Joe and Martin, all of Fort Dodge.

Mr. Lentsch was known in the neighborhood as a hard working, industrious man, a good citizen and an obliging neighbor. He had a great many friends in the community. Six nephews served as pall bearers: Andrew Kramar, Edward Naumah, Raymond Lentsch, John Busch, Clarence Kramar, and Laurence Gisch.
