March 23, 1962 - Mason City Globe gazette - Funeral services for Mrs Lorenz Gisch, 75, lifelong resident of the Algona area, were held Saturday morning at St. Cecelia's Catholic church here. Msgr. P.P. Gearen officiated and burial was in the Calvary cemetery with Hamilton's handling the arrangements.

Mrs Gisch died Wednesday night at St. Ann hospital. She and her husband had farmed near Algona since 1908.

She was born Eva Clara Lentsch on August 10, 1886, the daughter of Urban and Eva Lentsch. She was married to Lorenz Gisch on March 2, 1908 at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Livermore. Serving as pallbearers were Maynard Lentsch, Raymond Kramer, Andrew Fisch, Richard Gisch, Frank McDonald, and John Riegger.

She was a member of the C.D. of A. in Algona, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Union Mothers & Daughters club.

Surviving besides the husband, Lorenz; are three sons: John, Lawrence and Francis B. all of Algona; and five daughters, Fern, Mrs W. K. Specht; Mary, Mrs Joe Lichter; Ruth, Mrs Duane Arend, all of Algona; and Rachael, Mrs Luke Hamilton, Bancroft; and Dorothy, Mrs Wilfred Kohlhaas of Livermore.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs Joe Kramer of Whittemore, and three brothers, Mike Lentsch, Fort Dodge; U.F. Lentsch, Fort Dodge; and Joe Lentsch, Montana.
