April 4, 1928 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Mrs. Joseph Beiser passed away a week ago, following a long illness with a cancer. Mrs. Bieser had been a resident of Algona since 1881. She was a good Christian woman and during her long and painful illness, was ever cheerful and uncomplaining.

Elizabeth Eva Lentsch was born in Austria, November 1, 1854. She came to America in 1881 and settled in Algona. She was married to Joseph Beiser in 1884 and they have since lived in this city.

Mrs. Beiser leaves, besides the husband, six children, Mrs. Elizabeth Latham of Kansas City; Mrs. Katherine Hornbuckle of Draper, South Dakota; Mrs. Eva Deim, Mary Beiser, and John H. Beiser of Algona; and J. T. Beiser of Montague, Montana. Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Frankl of Algona and two who reside in Austria and one brother, Urban Lentsch, of Winfred, South Dakota, also survive.

Funeral services were held at St. Cecelia church, Father Davern officiating and burial was made in the Algona Catholic cemetery.
