August 30, 1907 - Algona Courier - On Tuesday morning last a good and faithful wife and mother passed to her eternal reward in the death of Mrs. Edward Illg of Garfield township. The good woman began to complain of a stomach trouble about June first, and the ailment growing steadily worse medical aid was soon sought and it was discovered that the patient had cancer of the stomach. Her husband took her to Rochester for treatment, but so rapid had been the progress of the disease that her case was declared hopeless. Still, she did not yield and kept out of bed until a week ago last Sunday.

Deceased's maiden name was Susan Zeller. She was a daughter of the late John Zeller of St. Joe, and was born in DuPage county, Illinois. She was about 42 years of age at her death.

She leaves to her bereaved husband, four children, three sons and one daughter, ranging in age from five to nineteen years. The daughter is about sixteen years of age, and her company and assistance will do much to comfort her father. The funeral took place at St. Joe yesterday. The Courier tenders sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children.
