Jan 24, 1950 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Mrs. John Frideres, 66, passed away Saturday evening at the family farm home at St. Joe. She is survived by her husband and six children, Victor of Algona, Prosper of St. Joe, Leo and Matt of Algona, Norbert of St. Joe, and Mrs. Lawrence Kirsch of Whitemore. Brothers and sisters surviving are John, Matt, Henry and Joe Faber, all of the Algona area, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Theresa) Wilger, and Mrs. Veronica Roethler.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joe Catholic church, with Father Theobald officiating. The Hamilton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Frideres was born Feb. 23, 1883, at St. Joe, daughter of a pioneer family. Her maiden name was Katherine Faber. She was married to John Frideres at St. Joe in 1907, and had lived there continuously since. Pallbearers were Alvin Faber, Joseph Faber, George Faber, Alfred Miller, Harold Roethler and Edmond Frideres.
