Aug 6, 1920 - Humboldt Republican - Word from St. Joe last week stated that the two sons of Mrs. Frank Fischer had met death in the Des Moines river near that place. The two boys were four and twelve years of age, and had been playing in the river. They got beyond their depth and were drowned. Aid came too late, but their bodies were recovered. Mrs. Fischer has had more than her share of trouble during the past few years. It will be remembered that her husband was killed in Chicago some years ago.
