Oct 30, 1914 - Algona Courier - Mr. and Mrs. John Erpelding of Irvington township are sorely bereaved at the death of their son, a boy about eight years of age. The boy had been attending school at Remsen where his aunt is a nun, and some days ago he was attacked by appendicitis. He was taken to Sioux City and there operated on, and the result was fatal. The burial took place at St. Joe on Thursday of this week. The Courier sincerely sympathizes with the bereaved parents.
