Oct 20, 1939 - Humboldt Republican - St. Joe — Funeral services were held Wednesday morning of this week at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church at West Bend for Mrs. Edwin Dieter, a former resident of this place, who died October 16 after two years illness. Most of that time was spent in bed at her home in West Bend.

Lucy Knott Dieter was born July 1, 1882 and was 57 years old at the time of her death. She was born in St Joe. She married Mr Dieter Oct 13, 1914.

Deceased is survived by her husband; five sisters and two brothers: Mrs. John Becker, Mrs. Joe Becker, both of St. Joe, Mrs. Valentine Engers and Mrs. Ed Hass of Fairbault, Minn., Mrs. Peter Lenertz of Mountain Lake, Minn. and John Knott of Rockwell, MN. and Peter Knott of St Cloud, MN.

Six nephews served as pall bearers. They were Julius, Herman, Joseph and Peter Becker, Matt Kirsch and Frank Heiderscheidt, all of St. Joe. Burial was in St Joe Cemetery.
