Paul A. Tienan

BURT-Paul A. Tienan, 77, of Burt, died Thursday (June 15, 1989) at the Titonka Care Center, Titonka, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Burt, with the Rev. Marge Bradshaw, officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Township Cemetery, Titonka.

Mr. Tienan was born Feb. 11, 1912 at Swea City. He graduated in 1931 from Titonka High School.

On Dec. 1, 1973, he was married to Claudia Reutzel at Burt. He farmed all his life, retiring in 1976. In 1986, he entered the Titonka Care Center.

He was a member of the IOOF and he was active in church and county conservation programs. Mr. Tienan enjoyed antiques.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Garry Funeral Home, Bancroft and after noon Monday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia; two daughters, Debra Reutzel, Spicer, Minn., and Denise Laag, Brooten, Minn.; two sons Myron Reutzel, Burt, and Donald Reutzel, Paynesville, Minn.; and two sisters, Minnie Samuelson, Arvada, Colo., and Betty Nelson, Portland, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
