Rural Martinsburg family;Andrew McBeth 51, Dora McBeth 41, twins Amos & Anna McBeth 19, & Donna Jean Kellogg were all murdered in May 1962 by Andrew's nephew, Gayno Gilbert Smith. Another daughter, Patsy Lou 15, was wounded but escaped. It was later found out that Gayno Smith had also killed his stepmother, Juanita Smith (of Hedrick)in Oct. 1961. Gayno Smith died this past Monday of natural causes. He was serving 5 life sentences plus 50 years.
