Larkin Kephart appears to have died in Ottumwa, Iowa on November 2, 1889 and was buried in or near Hayesville in Keokuk county, Iowa according to this obituary I located for you.

Died
KEPHART— At his home, corner of Clay and Walter streets, Ottumwa, Iowa, Nov. 2, 1889, at 1:20 a.m., of typhoid fever, Larkin Kephart, aged 64 years and 4 days. Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and the remains will be taken to Haysville by carriage today and interred in the family lot. Another honest, industrious citizen has been called to his reward. Deceased leaves a wife and several children, and numerous friends, to mourn his loss.
