My great+ grandparents were John and Hester Page Ashpaugh. They lived in this county in the 1860's and 1870's - I know they lived in Van Buren and then Sigourney - Would appreciate any information, burial location, etc I could get - I know that they had at least 3 children all born in Illinois. Rebecca Page Ashpaugh married Thomas Edwards and was the first white woman in Nemaha county NE. I am descended from her. Jemina or Jemima Ashpaugh married Jeremiah Ralston and went by wagontrain to Oregon and her husband founded the town of Lebanon Oregon. David Ashpaugh married a Harriet Sunderland and also went by wagon train to Oregon and built some of the first brick buildings in Walla Walla Washington and Umatilla ORegon area. I know JOhn was a mason and builder.
