Marriage 1873 George Payton and Margaret or Martha Edwards

PAYTON, EDWARDS

I have been searching for information on a widowed Margaret (or Martha) Edwards who remarried to George W. Payton after the death of her husband Louis Edwards in the early 1870s in Keokuk, Iowa. I found one record on familysearch that indicates a marriage between George Payton and a Margaret Alice Edwards on 18 August, 1873 in Keokuk. I am wondering if this is indeed the right couple - does anyone know if this is George W. Payton (probably a butcher or farmer)? There would have been 3 Edwards children at the time of this marriage - Charles Francis Edwards and twin sisters Minnie and Grace; there would have also been some Payton children from George's first marriage. Margaret (or Martha) would have died sometime in the late 1870s as George W. Payton is remarried and living in Howard, Elk, Kansas at the time of the 1880 census. Is there perhaps a record of Martha Payton's death/burial in Keokuk? This family is my biggest brick wall and any help would be much appreciated!
