Murrel, In addition to Harlan's 1856 find, there is also another Sasseen family in Richland twp. with Tn. roots, John & Nancy. The 1850 District 26, Keokuk co. puts them there as well. Elizabeth & children are also in Dist. 26 indexed as SASEEN but again, she is the head of household. Might want to look for a John Sasseen in 1840 Tn. with similar surnames in the area. Or check for cemeteries in Richland twp. Hester was 3, Ia. in 1850. Dick
