WARREN RAY
SIGOURNEY--Warren Ray, 75, of Sigourney, died Sunday, November 25, 1990 at the Manor House in Sigourney. He was born November 12, 1915 at Webster, the son of Warren and Vera Belle White Ray.
He married Fern Van Orsdall on February 18, 1947 in Princeton, Illinois. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the combat engineers. He was an auto mechanic for 25 years and was employed by North American Rockwell for seven years, before retiring in 1970.
He was a member of the Leo Farmer American Legion Post #19 of Sigourney and the Ollie Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, five sons, Don Ray of Springfield, Missouri, Gerald Ray of Riverside, California, Carroll Ray of Gilcrest, Colorado, Robert Ray of Hatfield, Arkansas, and Kenneth McMillian of Williamsburg; one daughter, Mary Dell Morrison of Sigourney; 18 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ted and Omar; and one sister, Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney with Rev. Billy Claywell officiating. Burial will be at the Van Orsdall Cemetery near Ollie. Military rites will be held by the Leo Farmer American Legion Post #19.
Visitation will be after (illegible) p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established.
