Esther De Marce was born in Preston County, Canada West December 15 1839 and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. S.B. White of Sigourney, Ia. She was 67 years, 4 months, and 18 days old. She came to Iowa when 16 years of age.

She was married to John Meyer in Washington Feb. 7, 1858, who died in the war in September 1863. Four children were born to this union: George W. Meyer of Sigourney, Samuel P., Charles A. and John A. Meyer of Roosevelt, Oklahoma.

She was again united in marriage to Bonham Martin of Wayland, Iowa, Oct. 10, 1865. To this union were born two children, Mary Ellen White of Sigourney and Frank Anthony Martin who died Feb. 19, 1898.

Mrs. Martin was a faithful member of the Christian church.

She leaves to mourn her loss 4 sons and 1 daughter, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, 8 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. White are grateful for the kindness of their friends during the sickness and death of Mrs. Esther Martin.
