Long Rites Thursday

Services for Edward Ray Long will be held Thursday at 1:30 at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Dorman officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Long, 76, died at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday at the Maplewood Manor in Keota. Previously he had resided at 705 South Third, Fairfield.

Long was born November 1, 1898, the son of John M. and Margaret Gambell Long of Hedrick. He married Mary V. Augustine on December 17, 1923. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Downing, Washington, and Mrs. Faye Hardesty, Fairfield.

Long was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the First Christian Church and the Keep Young Club. He was preceded in death by one sister.
