Glenys C. Rice, 80, of Martinsburg, died Monday, July 18, 1994, at the Sigourney Care Center.

He was born November 5, 1913 to Clarence and Garnet Lauer Rice in Wright. He married Eddyth Thomson on February 8, 1940, in Hedrick. He graduated from Delta High School in 1933. He farmed near Delta until he was married. Then he moved to the Martinsburg area. He was affiliated with the Hedrick Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, one son Allen, two daughters, Lois Ann Martin and Glenda Sieren and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Lynn Glenys Rice in 1971, one grandaughter, Rachel Sieren in infancy, and two brothers Gerald and Quincy, and one sister, Wyvetta Hoover.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 1994, at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Vel Luse officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Martinsburg.
