Charles Quick, 72, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1992 at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

He was born August 19, 1919 in Martinsburg to Jesse James and Effie Earle Davis Quick. He married Frances Day in 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev. He attended School in Martinsburg, and was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver, and was in the restaurant business when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; a step-son, Charles Manges; two grandsons; a great-grandson; a brother, Bill; and a sister, Hollis Kiser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a sister.

The body was donated to the University of Iowa for medical research.

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Martinsburg United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joseph W. Lloyd officiating.
