Marie Martin, 75, of Sigourney, died April 27, 1996, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.

She was born March 23, 1921, Southwest of Sigourney to Charles and Mabel Clubb Hauschild.

She married William L. Martin March 7, 1945. He preceded her in death July 20, 1969.

She and her husband farmed Southwest of Sigourney and she moved to Sigourney in 1969.

She worked at Bales Rest Home, Joseph's Cafe, Sigourney Care Center and McNurlen's Produce in Keota. She was a member of Hayesville Community Church.

She is survived by a sister, Henrietta Dick and her husband Francis; a niece, Charlotte Deitrich and her husband, Jim; a great-niece, Jane Deitrich; and a great-nephew, Michael Deitrich.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, with Rev, Frances Baumert officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Martinsburg.
