Lucille Mills Blevins, 84, of Hedrick died Oct. 21, 1998, at Ottumwa Manor.

She was born Sept. 20, 1914, around Monkey Den, north of Martinsburg, to Zac and Stella Yeoman McBeth. She married James Edward Mills on Sept. 3, 1932, in Sigourney. He died Oct. 15, 1974. She married Clyde Blevins on Feb. 4, 1978, in Hedrick. He died April 14, 1988.

She attended Monkey Den School, north of Martinsburg. She lived around Martinsburg and Hedrick all her life. She was a member of Hedrick Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant, son; three grand children; two sisters, Irene Beckner and Idabelle Samuals; and four brothers, Andy, Hessell, Lawrence and Rolland McBeth.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Spitzer Helm; three sons, Dale Mills, John Mills and Don Mills; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; seven stepchildren; two sisters, Hazel Kernsheen and Alma Terrell; and three brothers, Denver McBeth, Archie McBeth and Firman McBeth.

Funeral services were held Sat., Oct. 24 at the Hedrick Christian. Church, with Rev. Val Luse officiating. Burial was at Brooks Cemetery in Hedrick.
