Roberta Mary Linder, 76, of Sigourney, died Mon., July 29, 1996, at the Keokuk County Health Center following a lingering illness.

She was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Sigourney, to Henry J. and Florence Amlong Stein. She attended Sigourney High School. She worked at steak houses in Washington and Davenport, the East Side Cafe and Dick's Corner. She married Dean Linder on June 15 1949, at Lancaster, Mo. She was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church, the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliary, and Rebekah Lodge of Sigourney.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Gailen Jennings; four daughters, Mary Dicken, Ellen Clinton, Bonnie Barnhart and Connie Wiley; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children; two brothers, Kenneth Stein and Stanley Stein; and three sisters, Geneva Winn, Patricia Reynolds, and Marjorie Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Jennings; three grandchildren; three brothers, Clayborn, Gaylord and Junior; and one sister Gennette Graff.

The body has been cremated. A family graveside service will be held at a later date at Pennington Cemetery.
