Mildred Leona Green, 74, of Martinsburg, died April 13, 1996.

She was born November 30, 1921, in Cherokee. She lived on a farm in Perry as a child, then moved to Ottumwa and attended school there. She married Richard Green in Rock Island, Ill. She was employed at the John Morrell Company from October 1941 until retiring in August 1982. She lived in Martinsburg most of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Dobbins; three grandchildren; and five sisters, Pauline MCCordell, Arlene Dillon, Betty Harris, Shirley Gulick and Gladys Putman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert; and five sisters, Maxine Dye, Elsie Boyd, Dorothy Johnson, Phyllis Courtney and Eloise Dye.

Graveside services were held April 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Garrett Cemetery in Delta with the Vince Homan officiating.
