Paul W. Monohon, 67, of Hedrick died Thursday, March 11, 1993, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Knoxville.

He was born August 1, 1925, in Sigourney to Willie and Viola Cox Monohon. He married Opal Allison on October 3, 1943, in Sigourney.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1943-46. He was a general contractor in Hedrick and Fremont.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Fred; two daughters, Evelyn Kocsis and Clara Icenbice; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Warren.

The service was held at 2:00 p.m Monday, March 15, 1993, at Fremont Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Vel Luse officiating. Burial with military rites by Hedrick American Legion was in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick.
