Clifford Goldman, 68, of Delta died Monday, September 14, 1992, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

He was born March 25, 1924, in Oskaloosa. He was the son of Leslie and Faymie Wilson Goldman. He graduated from Delta High School in 1942 and attended the University of Georgia. He married Norma Maxine Lisk on July 24, 1947 at the Christian Church in Oskaloosa. He served in the United States Army in England, France, Germany and Africa during World War II. He owned and operated an appliance store in Delta and worked in the plumbing and heating business until retiring in 1984. He is a life long member of the Delta Christian Church and had served as a trustee and deacon. He also was a member of the American Legion in Delta.

He is survived by his wife Maxine; five sons, Daniel, Dennis, David, Darrel, and Donald; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Spears and Gail Joye; three brothers, Duane, Robert and Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be Friday, September 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Delta Christian Church, the Rev. Dan Sanford officiating. Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
