Richard Campbell Warren, 67, of Rural Route Hedrick, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1992 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

He was born June 19, 1925 in Keokuk County, the son of Edward and Hazel Campbell Warren.

He graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Martinsburg United Methodist Church and the American Legion Arendt-Bowlin-Stubbs Post No. 83 in Hedrick, and was presently serving as a Steady Run Township trustee.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel; two sons, Eugene and Roger; three daughters, Joyce Warren, Carolyn Schwartz and Barbara Barnes; four granddaughters; three sisters, Mildred Abel, Virginia Simmon and Alice Warren.

He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Paul, in infancy.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Fremont Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chuck Whitmire officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg.
