Winona Christine Beman, 83, of Delta died Wednesday, September 30, 1992, at Sigourney Care Center.

She was born January 31, 1909 in Hayesville to Harry and Jennie Mapel Stonebraker. She married Harold Beman on May 14, 1924 in Kirksville, Missouri. He died February 14, 1967.

She attended school in Hayesville and Sigourney and farmed north of Delta. She owned and operated Beman Grocery Store in Delta for several years. She was a member of the Delta Methodist Church and was baptized in North Skunk River.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Dingman, Ida Mae Harkins and Karen Upton; seven grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother. Clarence Stonebraker; and a half brother, Gerald Spicer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harold; a grandson, Jeffrey Upton; a brother, Franklin Stonebraker; and two sons-in-law, Larry Upton and Bob Dingman.

The service was 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Delta Methodist Church, the Rev. Bob Arndt officiating. Burial was in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
