Richard E. "Dick" Johnston, 52, of Palo, formerly of Sigourney died Sat., July 18, 1992 in Chetek, Wisconsin, after a sudden illness.

He was born August 12, 1939 in Fairfield, Iowa. He lived in Sigourney, Iowa for several years. He married Joyce Stull in 1964 at Ollie and they were later divorced. He was an employee of U S West and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Johnston; one son, Chris; his mother, Audrey Johnston and one brother, David.

Funeral services were held Tues., July 21 at 10 a.m. at the Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids with military services by the American legion Post 5. Burial was in Palo Cemetery.
