Eula Utterback, 87, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Hayesville, died June 13, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

She was born March 22, 1906, near Delta to Bernard and Minnie Paulin McKenzie. She married Woodrow Utterback on May 27, 1961 in Sigourney. He died Dec. 4, 1989.

She graduated from Delta High School and attended William Penn College. She taught in country schools and later in Delta and Hayesville. She was a member of Hayesville Church and the Union Hall Hustlers.

She is survived by a son, Lowell McKenzie and his wife Delores; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Eileen Long and Lovina Stanley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Neva McKenzie.

The service was June 16 at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, the Rev. Arvid Ellis officiating. Burial in Springfield cemetery near Delta.
