Thelma Martin, 80, of Sigourney, died May 28, 1993 at her home.

She was born July 6, 1913, South of Sigourney to Charles and Goldie Jacobs Priest.

She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1931. She worked at Fauler's Grocery and Blackie's Super Value for many years.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Sigourney.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald, Jerry, and Donald; four daughters, Patricia Steinhart, Alice Greiner, Sara Hubbell and Martha Weber; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Claudene Crouse.

She was preceded by her parents; a son Charles; and a sister Fern Martin.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the First Christian Church in Sigourney, with Rev. Dan Sanford officiating. Burial was in Pennington Cemetery near Sigourney.
