Russell Leroy Hicklin, 72, of Sebring, Florida, died June 15, 1993.

He was born Nov. 5, 1920, in Boircourt, Kansas, to Alfred and Vera Wright Hicklin. He married Ruth Elliott in Wichita, Kansas. He married Norma J. Cruz on June 19, 1981, in the Philippine Islands.

He graduated from Delta high school in 1938, and moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1941. He was a Navy veteran of WW II.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; a son, Alfred Lee; a stepson, Rolando Cruz; three grandsons; and a sister, Vivian Hicklin-Jones.

The service was held on June 18, at Warren-Morris Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida. The body was cremated.

The graveside service will be Sunday at Abel Cemetery in Keokuk County, the Rev. Gary McDonough officiating.
