Earl O. Morris, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Jan. 28 from an accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.

He was born Nov. 19, 1920 in Newton, and married Neva Weiss in Kirksville, Mo., Jan. 10, 1941. He was a graduate of the David Rankin Mechanic School of St. Louis. He farmed in What Cheer, worked as a fleet auto mechanic for Allis Chalmers, worked for Peter Pan and retired from Wonder Bread in 1977. He had lived in Cedar Rapids for 15 years. He was a member of Cedar Christian church, American Legion of What Cheer, V.F.W. Post 788, Good Sam Club and the Farm Bureau. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ronald, Richard and David; a daughter, Cathy Fuller; three sisters Mary Yordt, Lula Lukenback and Darlene Bock; a brother, Raymond; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and a step great grandchild.

Services were Jan. 31 at Cedar Christian church with the Rev. Allan Bash officiating. Burial was in the Sixteen cemetery at What Cheer with military services by V.F.W. post 788.
