Harold J. Martin, 76, of Sigourney died July 20, 1986 at home following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 4, 1910 near Hedrick, the son of Frank and Ida Puder Martin. He was married to Arlene Erdman. He farmed south of Sigourney all his life. He was a member of Sigourney Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Darrell, Clair, Warren and Wayne; two daughters, Mary Ann Jaacks and Marjorie O’Brien; three brothers, Myrl, Forrest and John; five sisters, Gladys Chacey, Ethel Nimmer, Beulah Dumont, Wilma Martin and Velma Danels; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Mrs. Maude Pence.

Funeral services are today, July 23, at the Sigourney Christian church with Dr. George Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery near Martinsburg.
