Mrs. Gerald (Veda B.) Fowler, age 68, of Delta, died Jan. 6, at Washington county hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1915 the daughter of Fred J. and Sarah Elizabeth Smith Stevens in Mahaska County. She moved to Delta in 1931 and graduated from Delta high school in 1934.

She married Gerald Fowler Oct. 24, 1963 at Delta Christian church. She was a member of Delta Christian church, and Legion Auxiliary, Delta C.W.F. and Good Time Club. She was a retired postal clerk after 30 years service at Delta.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Judy) Grabinski and one son, Rudy Reed; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, Clifford Stevens and one sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Betty) Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Freda Stevens, in 1942.

Services were Jan. 10 at the Delta Christian church with the Rev. George Mullins officiating. Burial was in Garrett cemetery, Delta.
