Art Fowler, 74, of Delta passed away at his home Monday evening after being ill with cancer for six years.

He was born March 9, 1888 at Rose Hill, the son of William and Ambia Alexander Fowler. Most of his lifetime was spent in the Delta community. He was a member of the Methodist church.

On February 25, 1914 he was married to Nellie Simpkins of Delta. They were the parents of four children.

His father passed away in 1951 and a brother, Homer, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother, his wife, a daughter, Dorothy Leathers; three sons, Gerald, Marvin and Harold; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Neva Schultz, Hazel (Mrs. Omer Klett), Nellie (Mrs. Charles Wood); three brothers, Oren, Vern and Glen.

Services will be Dec. 13, in the Methodist church in Delta, conducted by the Rev Ray Rubey, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. Clay Rogers, pastor of the Assembly of God church in Delta. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery southeast of Delta.
