Clair B. Dobbins, 66, of Rural Sigourney, died Nov. 16, 1984 at his home.

He was born March 2, 1918, the son of Oscar and Nola Ann Brubaker Dobbins at South English.

He married Viola L. Streigle December 24, 1938, at the Brethren parsonage in South English.

He attended schools around South English, farmed in the South English, Hayesville and Sigourney areas. He worked for the Sigourney Community School District for many years.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Sondra Flanegin, Connie Hanchett, Pam Hammes, and Nola Dobbins; four sons, Terry, Alan, Randy and Rick; 18 grandchildren; a great grandchild; a sister, Verda Dobbins; and a brother, Paul Dobbins.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Lea Dobbins; and a brother, Vern Dobbins.

Services were held Nov. 19., at the Holm Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Klein officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery near Sigourney.
