Leo A. Bruns, 73, of rural Sigourney, died June 20 at the Keokuk County hospital in Sigourney.

He was born April 14, 1911 at Sigourney to Fred J. and Blanch Allen Bruns. On Aug. 18, 1932, he married Alice Clementz in Moline, Ill. A life long resident of the Sigourney area, he farmed all of his life. He was a member of the Lancaster Christian church.

Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Rosenbalm and Mrs. Gladys Spicer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.

Services were June 23 at Lancaster Christian church, the Rev. Don Dye officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Grove cemetery in Sigourney. Reynolds Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
