Victor Oswalt Taken In Death

RICHLAND - Victor Oswalt, 91, retired farmer and businessman, died early today at the Camir Convalescent Home in Oskaloosa.

Oswalt was a lifelong resident of the Richland area. Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gould Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Layman officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

Oswalt was born Aug. 25, 1887 in Clear Creek Township, Keokuk County, the son of Samuel and Marinda Marquis Oswalt. He was married March 10, 1906 to Carrie Smith, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kermit Oswalt, Richland; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Kracaw, Richland. Three sisters and one brother are deceased.
