Richard Lee Meck

DAVENPORT - Richard Lee "Dick" Meck, 50, of Davenport, died Friday, Mrch 9, 2007, at Genesis East Medical Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13, 2007, from 11 a.m. until noon at The Runge Mortuary.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Davenport Public Library.

Dick was born September 22, 1956, in Fairfield, Ill., the son of Harold and Lois (Stephens) Meck. He grew up in Davenport, attended West High School, and remained a lifelong member of the Davenport west end community.

Those left to honor his memory include, daugther, Rebecca Lucas, Coralville, Iowa; son, Richard Lee Meck, Jr., Ainsworth, Iowa; grandchildren, Bradley, Brooke, Eric and Kaleb; sisters, Deborah (Gary) Wallace, Spring, Texas, Christie (David) Hall, Reno, Nev.; his mother, Lois Meck, Fairfield, Iowa; two nieces; and one nephew.

His father, Harold Meck preceded him in death in 1990.

Rest in peace, big guy. You will be missed. A special thanks goes to Gary and Sandy York who have been such steadfast friends.
