Edith E. Nagel, 91, of Sigourney, died July 8, 1998, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

She was born July 19, 1906, in Plank Township near Sigourney to Diedrich and Emma Wilke Nagel. She
attended Garbaldi country school and had lived most of her life on a farm southeast of Sigourney. She had resided at the Keokuk County Health Center since 1995.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto and William Nagel; a sister, Meta Nagel; and a half brother, Fred Geisecke.

Services were held July at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, the Rev. Danny Lemons officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, east of Sigourney.
