T. Opal Kopsieker

T. Opal Kopsieker, 77, 404 S. Fourth St., died at 12:38 a.m. today, Monday, Dec. 6, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ollie Baptist Church in Ollie with the Rev. Jane Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Martinsburg Cemetery. Open visitation begins Tuesday morning with the family present from 7 to 8:30 that night at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. Kopsieker was born July 27, 1916, in Agency, the daughter of Clarence E. and Lenore Weirich McSparen. She married Howard C. Kopsieker on Dec. 17, 1939, in Ottumwa. He died Nov. 28, 1993. She was a homemaker and had helped her husband farm in Keokuk County. She was a member of Ollie United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Kopsieker of Packwood; four grandsons; three great-granddaughters; four sisters, June Watters, Fern Tripp, both of Yuma, Ariz., Vera Stock of St. Louis, Gean Fisher of Clinton; a brother, Clifford McSparen of Yuma; several nieces and nephews. She also has a daughter-in-law, Joyce Kopsieker of Ollie, who had lived with her. A son, John, preceded her in death.
