Services For L. McConnell

RICHLAND - Last rites for Leslie McConnell, 82, Cedar Rapids, were held July 9 in the Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Wilson Hyde in charge.

McConnell died July 6 following a short illness. He formerly lived in Marshalltown and had been a Cedar Rapids resident for 37 years.

He was born March 28, 1895 at Richland. He was married to Pearl Everist on Dec. 22, 1914. He had been employed by the Collins Radio Co., for 25 years prior to his retirement.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. W.W. Fry, Cedar Falls, Mrs. Paul Erickson, Cedar Rapids; and two sons, Gerald L. McConnell, Grand Island Neb., and Dale McConnell, Riverside, Calif.

Also surviving are two sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
