WHAT CHEER - Wallace (Gent) Burtlow, 86, died this morning at his home in Delta. Although he was in poor health, his death was unexpected.

He was born and reared in the Springfield community two miles west of Delta. He moved to Delta in 1904 and was a bricklayer and plasterer retiring in 1937. He was a member of the Assembly of God.

Besides his wife Mary he leaves a son Mason of Delta, a brother John of Ottumwa, three grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren.

The body is at the Whyle chapel.
