Edna Hollingsworth, 103, died Monday, Aug. 31, at the Sigourney Care Center, where she had lived for the past two years.

She was born July 22, 1889 near Hayesville to Noah and Delilah Wertz Jacobs. She taught School until her marriage to Robert Fern Hollingsworth May 29, 1917. He died January 19, 1919.

She stayed in the Hayesville area until moving to Sigourney in the early 1960's.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Arvel Jacobs; and three sisters, Esther Appleget, Gertrude Hayes and Eva Jacobs.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, with Rev. Danny Lemons officiating. Burial was at Pennington Cemetery in Sigourney.
