I found my GGGrandfather, William Bowers, in 1856 Census in Cass Twp. Curious about the 6 yr. old girl, Elisa Agens, living with William and his wife, Susan E[llen Davis] Bowers.

My info. has that William and Susan married January 9, 1855, but can't find that recorded in Jones Cty. Marriage records. Census indicates Susan had been in Iowa 1 year, so I'm guessing they married there. Anyone with info? I'd be delighted to share mine.
