You are talking very early history. I wasn't even aware that the Bohemian clans migrated to Iowa that early? Guess they did since John shows up on the 1856 Oxford township census.

Seems like name spelling kept changing like with our French-Canadian ancestors. I see PICNRIC, PEKAREK, and by 1895 PEGOREK and PEGORICK.

Looks like your people are buried at the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford township and a link to e-mail the records keeper there is on that cemetery web page on the Jones County GenWeb site. Get some dates of burials then you can find some obituaries to get you on your way.

Have you also looked into contacting the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, IA? They have area family histories there too.
