In Response To: baby's death and burial (Pauline)

I am sure Joanne will help you the best she can on this one. She has access to all the original sources.

Infant deaths are so unfortunate and back then burials cheap and quick and sometimes undocumented. Often times graves are unmarked, crudely marked, and/or the child was never named. It was an era where family was the foundation of survival hence having so many in one family. You may even find when one child named XYZ at birth and died an infant the name will be used again with a following surviving child only adding to the confusion!

Eric
