Lucien W. Ellis - parents?

Does anyone know who the parents of L.(ucien) W. Ellis (1840-1908 are? I have seen conflicting information. Most say it is Joel Ellis and Mary Walcott but the dates and places vary. Some say they lived and died in Massachusetts while others say Illinois. The Illinois one sound more accurate because the 1879 bio online states he and his father moved from Indiana to Illinois and Lucien moved to Jones County in 1859. And I know there was a Benjamin Ellis who was born in MA and married a Charlotte Arnold. The Mary Walcott above mother was supposed to have been a Mary Arnold.

Any help sorting this out would be appreciated as it looks like two different Ellis clans lived in Anamosa.
